Connects the Bleeder to Your Vehicle

The adapter creates the sealed connection between your vehicle’s master cylinder reservoir and the AGM Brake Pressure Bleeder.

Once connected, the Brake Pressure Bleeder can apply controlled pressure at the reservoir, helping push fresh brake fluid through the system so old fluid and air can be removed at each bleeder screw.

Frequently asked questions

What does this Brake Bleeder Adapter do?

This adapter connects a compatible brake master cylinder reservoir to the AGM Brake Pressure Bleeder, creating the sealed connection needed for one-person pressure bleeding.

Does this adapter fit every vehicle?

No. Brake reservoir designs vary by vehicle year, trim, brake system, and reservoir supplier. Always check the fitment notes and compare your reservoir before ordering.

Why are adapters sold separately?

Master cylinder reservoirs vary widely between vehicles. Selling adapters separately lets you buy the adapter that fits your vehicle instead of paying for parts you do not need.

Can I use the AGM Brake Pressure Bleeder without an adapter?

No. The correct adapter is required to create a sealed connection between the Brake Pressure Bleeder and your master cylinder reservoir.

What happens if the adapter does not seal?

If the adapter does not seal properly, the system may not hold pressure and the Brake Pressure Bleeder will not work correctly. Stop and confirm that you have the correct adapter before continuing.

For the universal round reservoir adapter, loosen, adjust the position of the adapter and tighten the thumb knob again to seal.

Always check an adapter seals properly before leaving the engine bay to perform your brake bleed.

How do I know which adapter I need?

Check the Fitment Guide, compare your reservoir cap or reservoir opening, and review any measurements listed on the product page. If you are unsure, contact AGM before ordering.

Can AGM help me choose the correct adapter?

Yes. Contact AGM with your vehicle information and, when possible, photos or measurements of your brake reservoir. We will help point you toward the best adapter option.

What if I discover another vehicle this adapter fits?

Please let us know. Fitment information is built from known applications, customer feedback, and ongoing testing. Additional confirmed applications help us improve the Fitment Guide.

Good product.

This product is well thought out and of good quality. There is even a space for residual (left-over) brake fluid to collect in the blow moulded case when adapters not in use.

I’m interested in purchasing your brake bleeder and the adapters. My question is I do a lot of RV’s class A with gel coat paint. In one reply someone said that the adapters were leaking. And

AGMProducts

Chris, looks like your message got cut off. So I apologize if you were going a different direction. What I can say is brake fluid is corrosive so you always want to check fitment of a universal adapter before you begin your brake bleed. This means connecting the system to shop air and to the vehicle and opening the ball valve on the bleeder just a little bit, slowly pressurizing the master cylinder reservoir this way if you notice any leaks you can quickly close the ball valve, adjust the position and tension of the universal adapter and check again. Only after you have confirmed you have a good seal should you leave the engine bay to begin your brake bleed.
A few other quick tips.
- Use an inline dryer to remove moisture from the line set or empty your compressor tank before beginning the brake bleed, so you do not introduce additional moisture to the brake bleeder.
- If you have a pressure regulator on your compressor, drop it down to 15-20psi, so that you are pushing less air through the Brake bleeder, this will reduce the sound and reduce the amount of air that passes through the bleeder, further reducing the chances of exposing the fluid to moisture.

Has the Fitment Guide been updated to 2026? I have a 2021 Mustang and 2023 Mazda CX-5, but don't see them on the Fitment Guide.

AGMProducts

George, thank you for asking. We just went through a redesign on the products themselves. The fitment guide is next on our list of updates. We will also be building a simple quiz that will be listed on our product pages to help guide people's searches as well. I'll ping the website team to get this rolling.

anything for honda/acura?

AGMProducts

John, for Hondas you can check out part# AGM-BPB-1494. We have not begun testing on Acura yet, but I would imagine there would be cross-over. If you have any other questions, shoot us an email at sales@agm-products.com.
